The array of designs that they offer is impressive, and they will tailor the waterfall to meet your needs as a client. Combining a creative vision of space with the soothing, natural sound of a waterfall will enhance almost any modern space, and the smooth, sophisticated panels that Harmonic Environment offers are decidedly minimalist in their structure. A home or business with one of these waterfalls trickling subtly in the background will be an impressive, modern interior design feat with this tastefully incorporated piece of nature.

Drawing upon her Finnish background as inspiration, designer Elisa Honkanen has a truly modern eye with a European flair. Her experience in Italy and France has prepared her for a smooth, minimalist approach to interior design. She combines “old” materials like natural grain wood with “new” industrial materials to create a synthesis of harmonious design. The above pictured folding table uses an interlocking mechanism for functionality and wood for sturdy but flexible design. She is currently displaying her work at the Stockholm Furniture Fair, and the future looks bright for this young designer.

Using high contrast colors, unique contours and organic forms framed by simple, minimalistic lines, Tiger Tandem Design crafts unique pieces that would work with any modern decor. Hoping to strike a balance between hand-crafted artisan pieces and the modern lines that Ikea is known for, the pieces are all stylish and attractive. The above pictured Tadpole Table is designed to fit snugly around the contours of your sofa, hugging it with a wavy, rounded look. It is perfectly balanced and would look just as stunning as a cocktail table or accent piece adorning a modern lounge.

AquiliaAlberg is a design firm that works with clients to produce modular, modern furniture that meets their specific needs. The above pictured Swing-UP vase/side table/stackable storage solution is a shining example of the creative juices that are flowing through this studio. It features a smooth, geometric shape that enables it to stand alone as an eye-catching piece of minimalist storage or table. It can also be stacked with other units, creating towers of contoured intrigue. Or, it can be used as a flower pot for an even more unusual and unique appeal. All of their products work with spacial dimensions, using dynamic shapes to re-define your space.

Stage One produces bright, fun, and engaging pieces of furniture that are designed to inspire your child’s imagination. Using function as their starting point, these interior designers have brought in elements that will delight any child. The above pictured Play Door features 3D rotating shapes, a mirror, an abacus, a spinning steering wheel, and an up-and-down mobile to keep your child entertained. It is used as a child safety gate, but its true value is in the joy it will bring to any young boy or girl who encounters the fun activities it presents. Stage One has several other products for children that are just as engaging, and they are in the process of creating even more.

iukbox is the meeting place for young designers, offering them a place to display and sell their furniture, fabrics, and more. It exists at the crossroad between contemporary art and functional furniture. Most of what is available at iukbox is part of a limited edition series by a particular young artist, created individually and custom made in some cases. There are currently twelve designers offering their wares on iukbox, with more to come. The above pictured Bad Beaver Vase is reminisce of Canadian summers in a cabin, and the below pictured Better Views window shade offers a subtle tracing of a world-class city on your window pane.

Winoldi design specializes in the Vider – a flexible room divider or pillar that is the epitome of class, style and elegance. The posh Vider can be incorporated into any open space, whether that is at home in a large loft-style room, a basement bar, or a commercial setting. It is available in four “flavors” and interested consumers can customize it for a larger space or in a themed color or pattern. The reflective surface and multi-faceted angles make this ideal for a space that needs a little brightness, privacy, and style all at once. The classic look combines synthetic rubber strips and anodised aluminum, while the mint, champaign and other flavors use transparent silicone, gold and silver polished aluminum, and more.

Quirky, creative designs are the specialty of Brussels-based duo Atelier BLINK. Emilie Lecouturier and Céline Poncelet work together in product and environmental design, using innovative shapes, colors, and patterns to produce furniture that is pleasing to the eye. Their goal is to produce items that make you think, and re-think, your surroundings and every-day environment.  The above pictured Nani Rug has an image of a broken mosaic sprinkled on its surface, which combines the sharp edges of a mosaic with the soft surface of the rug.  All of their designs use inspiration from a variety of fields, which include photographers, architects, and designers.

Microworks wants to stimulate your mind, so that you view the everyday items in your house a little differently. The above two pieces exemplify their attitude: the Book Box is a creative bookshelf that uses cutouts of book silhouettes to hold your books, and the Crushed Tray has a spill-shaped hole cut into as a drink holder it so that you can catch any spills on those “clumsy days”. The playful energy of their pieces is obvious, and the mixture of form, function and fun makes their pieces intriguing. If you look at the things around you with fresh eyes after considering the designs from Microworks, they’ve done their jobs.
