Designer Spotlight: MicroWorks

Microworks wants to stimulate your mind, so that you view the everyday items in your house a little differently. The above two pieces exemplify their attitude: the Book Box is a creative bookshelf that uses cutouts of book silhouettes to hold your books, and the Crushed Tray has a spill-shaped hole cut into as a drink holder it so that you can catch any spills on those “clumsy days”. The playful energy of their pieces is obvious, and the mixture of form, function and fun makes their pieces intriguing. If you look at the things around you with fresh eyes after considering the designs from Microworks, they’ve done their jobs.
