YES! We are happy to announce one of our favorite mid-century modern dealers with top quality reproductions is carrying a Grasshopper Floor Lamp remake by famous mid-century modern designer Greta Grossman. They are calling it the Lucille Floor Lamp and it is nearly a spitting image of the original model.
The original Grasshopper came onto the scene in 1947, at the start of growing popularity in mid-century modern style. Sleek form using innovative materials and new shapes was starting to take praise among the world of design enthusiasts, art collectors, and architects alike.
The Grasshopper Floor Lamp was made of enameled steel, enameled aluminum and in a variety of different finishes including painted black and brass. The Lucille Floor Lamp features the same style as the Grasshopper Floor Lamp, including a conical lamp shade, bent gooseneck, tubular metal frame with tripod base.
The difference is the Lucille Floor Lamp is roughly 2 inches shorter than the original design. Which in our opinion, is a inch or two we are willing to take.
This mid-century modern floor lamp is considered to be famous Swedish designer Greta Grossman’s most popular design to date. If you are looking for iconic mid-century modern lighting, you may have just found your next high-quality reproduction!
