Designer Spotlight: Camilla Hounsell Halvorsen

Camilla Hounsell Halvorsen is a design student currently doing her masters at Oslo National Academy of the Arts in Norway, but she already has exhibition and museum display experience under her belt. Her approach to furniture relies on textured surfaces and fabrics, bright colors, and experimental form. The above pictured Drops chair is constructed of stainless steel legs which hold up a movable inner tube that is upholstered in recycled fabric. It can be tilted or even removed as the user wishes. Halvorsen is largely in the conceptual and prototype phase of her design career, but having six pieces under her belt and more surely to come, her future prospects look bright.
