The Wiener Chair by Gabriella Asztalos
The Wiener Chair by Gabriella Asztalos is comprised of an elegant body with fluid curves and a bold contrast in colors. Inspiration for the style is similar to that of mid-century modern designer, Thonet, who created the immensely popular bentwood furniture.
As a classically trained ballerina, Asztalos draws inspiration from a “refined world.”
The design features an elongated backrest with a perforated weave design made from Vienna straw. The chairs sleek finish and elegantly curved frame is made of lacquered, black wood.
“The slim silhouettes and the harmony of the seat back recall the curvy, elegant forms of the Viennese style: a perfect combination of the classic and modern. The chair is presented in lacquered black wood with Vienna straw seatback.”
