Designer Spotlight: RB Object

RB Object is a fledgling design firm that has only one product line to its name, but the concept is so refreshingly simple that it looks like they’ll go far with it. The Collect 01 Table/Cabinet/Stool is a piece that is designed to explore the relationship between person and object. It is inspired by 17th and 18th century “cabinets of wonder”, but with the modern ethos of functionality as well. It can be a side table, a stool, and a cabinet, depending on your needs. The inlaid glass tabletop sits high above the base, connected by a maple cylinder, with enough space between to hold books, display curios, or simply to represent the space that it encompasses.
