Midgard Releases New Modern Adjustable Lamp First Time Since 1950s

Midgard is one of the first companies to create a mass produced adjustable lamp. They celebrated their 100 year anniversary in May 2020. Recently, they have released their first new adjustable lamp since the 1950s. The lamps called “AYNO Lighting,” are a contemporary version of an adjustable floor and table lamp with no joints needed.

Following the tradition of sustainable and functional design found in many nordic styles, the new lamps are made of 3 primary materials. Steel, fiberglass and ABS / PC – which is naturally recyclable. Inspired by the German Bauhaus School, Midgard has produced lighting with minimalism at the forefront of their designs for over a century.

The modern floor lamp features a slim, flexible fiberglass rod. It is an adjustable curve used with a cable and two rings to control the lights arc. The rod can be bent and positioned. Other finer adjustments can be made by swiveling the shade.

No tools are needed to assemble or maintain the floor lamp. Every lamp ships in space-saving cardboard boxes.

There are 3 different sizes of AYNO lamps in 2 different textile-coated colors for the cable (neon orange or black) available. The lampshade and rod comes in a minimalist, neutral black.
