HAVE YOU GOT A SPARE THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLARS LAYING AROUND? Then you could be the proud new owner of the Damier Adjustable Leather Sofa. The sofa is upholstered in chromium tanned Fiore bovine leather, with a chrome plated support base and has four separate square modules. Each module has two independently controlled elements that can be raised or lowered to suit your needs. Personally I do not believe I could spend more on a couch than I spent on my car, but if you’ve got it, flaunt it!

Constellation Desk

A GOOD DESK IS HARD TO FIND – As I discovered when I moved to Seattle, it can be difficult to find a nice desk. I spent what seemed like forever looking for something that wasn’t too big for my small apartment. I ended up making my own using parts from a hardware store and an enormous Danish furniture store. Though I kind of wish I had come across this gem before I did. The desk, by Zuo Modern, is big enough for work, but not too big, and made entirely of tempered glass with cast aluminum supports. It also includes a keyboard tray and tower stand.

terrorist tea pot

CAN A TEA POT REALLY BE CONSIDERED OFFENSIVE?  I am really unsure as to whether or not I should laugh at this or not. It is definitely creative and different, unlike anything I have ever seen before. Tea is supposed to be a relaxing, late afternoon activity. I cannot imagine a reason for putting a ski mask on my tea pot, other than to see the reaction of my guests when they see me pour their earl grey from something so menacing. Currently there is no price listed, but the store does say that it is available now.

IT IS WITH GREAT PLEASURE THAT I ANNOUNCE a new writer for this blog.  His name is Justin Snider.  While we were thinking of hiring additional writers to update PadStyle on a more regular basis, Justin actually contacted us and told us how much he loved the blog and that he would love to write for us.  After looking at his writing, it was obvious that this was a marriage made in heaven . . . actually, we're still just dating. :)  So please help me in in welcoming Justin to the PadStyle family.  I'm sure you'll love his take on modern furniture and decor.
