Don't ever use Lisinopril when pregnant. It will almost certainly harm the baby. Immediately cease Lisinopril use and notify your GP immediately when you first earn you are pregnant. Because drinking alcohol further lowers blood pressure it is likely to increase some side effects from Lisinopril. Don't eat salt-substitutes or take potassium supplements whilst using Lisinopril, except of course if your GP has suggested it. Many otherwise simple ailments can cause dehydration. Whilst you are taking Lisinopril, dehydration is effectively amplified, and can often lead to much lower blood pressures, imbalanced electrolyte function or even kidney failure. Drink lots of water every day whilst taking this drug, it is important.
Before You Take Lisinopril: Don't use Lisinopril if you have an allergy to Lisinopril, including any ACE inhibitor, including Captopril (Capoten), Benazepril (Lotensin), Enalapril (Vasotec), Fosinopril (Monopril), Moexipril (Univasc), Quinapril (Accupril), Perindopril (Aceon), Trandolapril(Mavik), or Ramipril (Altace). To be sure of safely whilst taking Lisinopril, notify your GP if you've any one of these conditions: kidney disease, heart disease, liver disease, Marfan syndrome, lupus, Sjogren's syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma or diabetes. Never use Lisinopril during pregnancy. Serious injury to the baby, or even death may be caused by its use.It is recommended you use a strong contraceptive method for birth control, whilst taking Lisinopril. It's unknown whether or not Lisinopril moves into milk and harm a nursing child. Play safe and don't use this drug if you are feeding a baby.
Note These Facts Whilst Taking Lisinopril: Take every dose along with a big glass of water. It is would be fine to take Lisinopril both with and without food. If you are taking Lisinopril that means blood pressure readings will need to be checked regularly. Your liver or kidney function may require testing too. Store Lisinopril around room temperature and keep it away from heat or moisture.
Lisinopril Dosage Factors: If you should miss a dosage of, take the dose the instant you remember you forgot. However, if it's nearly time for the next dose, just leave out the missed one. Don't take extra to cover the missed one, you could end up overdosing. If you happen to make an error and take more than you should have, seek immediate medical assistance. Seek emergency medical assistance if you've any of the symptoms of allergic response from Lisinopril. These include: hives, difficult breathing, very bad stomach pain, swollen face, tongue, lips or throat. Phone your GP immediately if you've serious Lisinopril side effects such as: urinating less or more than usual, feeling you might black out, feeling tired, having weak muscles, or a pounding and uneven heart rhythm, chest pain, fever, body aches, chills, flu symptoms, rapid weight gain, swelling. Some of the less dangerous side effects of Lisinopril may include: coughs, headache, dizziness,drowsiness, nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, upset stomach, depression, rash or milder skin itching. This isn't a full side effects listing, many others may occur. Check with your GP or read the literature which comes with the drug.
