IF YOU’RE GONNA TRANSFORM, DO IT WITH FLAIR: Buro Vormkrijgers’ Transfurniture flips, rotates and swivels with all the aplomb of a Japanese robot cartoon. Like fictional robots this chair is functional in both forms; in its initial, compact state it serves as a stool, but within seconds can turn into a fairly stylish armchair. Made from stainless steel and aluminum, it’s probably not the most comfortable–but it sure looks cool.
