[...] AS OF LATE, floral silhouettes have been spotted on numerous furniture pieces, but the motif hasn’t gotten old–yet. Above: gamPLUSfratesi’s Bouquet Collection features contrasting botanical patterns on minimalist pieces of furniture. White, black, red and green all possess a surprisingly powerful decorative presence, despite the inherent limitations of a two-toned palette.
[...] What I found the most interesting was the artwork on Tunto’s Kukka table. These floral patterns (by Finnish artist Jani Tolin) bear more than a passing resemblance to Patricia Urquiola’s Damasco table (featured here), enough so for me to wonder whether Jani also collaborated with Patricia or if this is an amazing coincidence. All questions aside, the Kukka and the more rectangular Vuokko table are definitely more “traditional” contemporary works from Tunto, but stylish nevertheless. tunto.com [...]

[...] Tord Boontje is taking over the world, and the Garland Light is just another example of his amazing work (we recently featured his Oval Table here). His patterns literally come to life in a 3-dimensional structure made from laser-cut metal. Available in brass, silver, chrome or rust finishes, this is a beautiful and exotic piece and not one to be missed at only $59. For more innovative lighting, visit gnr8.biz. [...]

I like your thematic way of presenting designs. The "lace" trend is one of the major trends that appeard during the begining of this century in the area of interior design and is part of the whole pattern revival. And Urquiola is my favourate contemporary designer. I have been following these themes for several years now and if you want to read more, you are welcome to visit my blog: www.trendoffice.org
