New Animated Series BoJack Horseman Showcases Mid Century Modern Furniture

A new comedy series on Netflix, BoJack Horseman, showcases mid century modern architecture, furniture and decor in a fun and animated way!

The show is about a wealthy and rather cynical talking horse who had a hit television show called “Horsin Around” back in the 90s. The premise of the show revolves around his life as a washed up television star trying to revive his career. Despite his rocky lifestyle and sarcastic attitude, he still manages to live in a stunning mid century modern designed home in the hills of “HollyWoo” in California.

While the cartoon provides plenty of laughs with its funny visuals and witty dialogue – the mid century modern designs really caught my eye and brought attention to how great they look even when in animated form.

His home, his friends home, Mr. Peanut Butter (a fun-loving dog who is also a famous actor) and his agents office, a sassy pink cat named Princess Carolyn, are all decked out in boat loads of mid century modern decor and furniture!

If you look past the empty beer cans and pizza boxes, you will see a purple colored mid century modern sofa and ottoman with a button tufted backrest and tapered dark wood legs similar to the Lena Sofa, the Sepulveda Sofa or the Archer Sofa and what looks like they could be Sigfred Counter Stools,  Matteo Adjustable Stools or the Pera Counter Stool in the background.

It just goes to show, mid century modern design and decor doesn’t really ever go out of style and is making a big comeback when it comes to new hit series, whether animated or otherwise!
