float wave chaise

WE’VE SEEN minimalist chaise longues before, but Jeanne Scandura’s Float Wave Chaise is about simple as it gets. Constructed from fiberglass-reinforced resin, the Float Wave is little more than a double wave whose basic form makes it equally appropriate indoors and outdoors. Speaking of outside use: the chaise’s marine-grade gel-coat finish offers protection from UV light and temperature extremes.

Simple and elegant..its appeal lies in the sleek wave pattern..
Critically speaking, i doubt if it will remain sturdy considering the fact that the seat also functions as the legs for the chair..

Hello Vids, this is a good point. I wonder if it being available for commercial/contract means it might be strong enough?

[...] This is a beautiful and modernist chaise line designed by architect Jeanne Scandura. The design is simple and elegant.Constructed from fiberglass-reinforced resin, the Float Wave is little more than a double wave whose basic form makes it equally appropriate indoors and outdoors. Now looking at this chair I can say that I want one, but some people might feel incomfortable in a chair like this because the only position you can stay on your back, other positions might be pretty uncomfortable. The price for this wave chair is $3800, quite expensive I can say. - Via - PadStyle [...]

[...] WE FEATURED Jeanne Scandura’s Float Wave Chaise in a previous post; we’re just as enthralled by its slightly humbler cousin, the Float Wave Bench. Just like the Chaise, the Bench features graduated curves with a slight, but graceful dip in the center for added drama. Designed for both indoor and outdoor use. $3,800, nova68.com [...]
