Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman

Own a piece of modern history that isn’t just iconic, but its comfortable too. The husband and wife designer team, Charles and Ray Eames, have joined forces to produce this lounge chair that has been given some of the best furniture reviews and critic commentary this generation. It is so well-loved, in fact, that a chair resides permanently in the Museum of Modern Art in New York. This chair combines fine-tuned technology with hand-crafted skill, and its 50+ years in production means that you are getting a chair that is old-fashioned in its approach to luxury but modern in its manufacturing process. To own your own Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman, visit HiveModern.com and expect to pay $3,699.00.
I just want to point out what I truly hope was just a typo. Charles and Ray Eames were husband and wife, not brothers. It is a wonderful chair, I enjoy mine immensely. I encourage all your readers to really know and understand Charles and Ray Eames, as they are unquestionably among the most influential of our mid-century modernists.

The Eames are not brothers. They are a married couple.

Oh thank you for pointing out my mistake! The post has been fixed to reflect their married status.
And yes, am I am just discovering this pair now. I see how influential they have been and how versatile and iconic their designs are. I expect to be including some more of their designs in the future

That is a beautiful chair! I just bought one off of officedesignsoutlet.com for a hugely discounted price. Herman Miller lets this site take sample/floor models and sell them back for a fraction of the cost! I swear mine is new, I wouldn’t have realized otherwise.

This is a really great chair! I love it! I’ve done a little research though as to price. There are some good deals out there although you have to be careful that you are getting an authentic piece and not just a replica. Just a quick search shows a new one on ebay from hermanmillerdirect going for less than the $3,699. on hive… for anyone who may be interested!
