END TABLES WITH A SIDE OF COUCH is how we’d write the menu entry this sofa by R 20th Century. Designed by Joaquim Tenreiro of Brazil, the upholstered chair sits atop an expansive jacaranda frame with green glass tops flanking each armrest. We imagine the extra real estate would be great for get-togethers, although the sheer length of the piece makes it impractical for all but the largest of spaces.

A TRENDY MIX of traditional and modern, Ochre’s Snooze Chair features a gracefully curving frontal profile. The reverse is true for the rear and bottom of the chair, with a raked seat that nearly kisses the ground. Swathed in nubuck or leather with piped velvet cushions, the Snooze is not so much sedate as it is sexy.

NAMED BONNIE AND CLYDE but actually a trio rather than a duo, Anna Thomas’ nesting tables have little in common with their infamous counterparts, except perhaps for their complementary design. Each table is made from cold-formed mahogany, rubber and plywood; their bare simplicity allows them to serve as anything from cocktail tables to shelving. FRENETIC doesn’t even begin to describe Tord Boontje’s Until Dawn Curtain, which serves up a dizzying array of laser-cut flowers, leaves, branches and the occasional fauna. Made from layers of black Tyvek, the 42″x96″ Until Dawn can serve as a room divider, wall hanging, or even a shower curtain–it is tear- and water-resistant, after all.

GERMAN EFFICIENCY comes to dinner with Blomus, and boy does it look good. All three pieces–a teapot, a creamer, and a sugar bowl–are made from brushed stainless steel and share a sleek half-dome design. Other than a central cylindrical lid and pouring spout or mouth, nothing else breaks up the smooth steel; they make wonderful gifts, but we won’t tell if you self-indulge.
